Anyone else get this itchy thing because it seems to have started around the same time as my FM symptoms?

Question:
It started when I was pregnant too and is an itch like I'm being bitten to death by hundreds of tiny bugs, that spreads to different parts of my body but is mostly on my torso and head. When I was pregnant, it was really bad and drove me crazy because if I scratched myself or even just rubbed the itchy area, I came up in big red welts like blisters where ever I touched myself and it burned like sunburn. I sill get it and it still drives me crazy although I don't blister as badly. I have noticed that when it starts, my skin feels very hot and taking antihistamines seem to help a little, as does cool showers. Shortly after my daughter was born, I had my first course of acupuncture and the doctor was fascinated by the reaction my body had to the needles because where ever he stuck them in me, I came up in lumps like bee stings. He admitted that he'd never seen anything like it or knew what it was and basically I've never said anything to other doctors because well, I feel that I complain of enough and it seems harmless enough, just irritating. Anyone else get this itchy thing because it seems to have started around the same time as my FM symptoms?

Answer:
No and i wouldn't be putting up with that ! And I note there's only one "oldie" in this thread. (ie I don't see thos "symptom" mentioned frequently here) I'd be looking for the cause. You can't get rid of a problem properly, until you determine what the cause is. If you put a list together from all those, then maybe your doctor can help you figure it out. http://www.medicinenet.com/Itch/article.htm http://www.healthcentral.com/mhc/top/003217.cfm http://www.nbdhu.on.ca/en/safewater/SwimmersItch.htm http://www.embarrassingproblems.com/pages2/itching_a.htm The first thing to do is stop scratching and it's explained why here http://www.howstuffworks.com/question600.htm
