Question:
Gave my daughter (9 yrs.old) a NIX treatment on Saturday, Jan.30.
Found live lice on her head tonight. Should I give 2nd treatment
tomorrow and start all the cleaning again? Not sure what to do
next!!

Have you heard of the oil treatment?it is more work but much
safer. cover the hair and scalp with olive oil cover with shower cap and
heat with a hair dryer getting it as warm as possible but be very
careful as hairdryers can heat too hot. keep reheating for at least 4
hours then shampoo,with ordinary shampoo and pick out the nits and lice.
repeat this every few days until the problem is solved.i have not tried
this and it does sound like a lot of work but the commercial treatments
have been blammed for a number of serious health problems such as
Attention deficite disorder.our health unit is suggesting this as an
alternative treatment because the lice are becoming resistant to the
poison products.
