A lady friend of mine asked me this question and after being owned
by cats most of my life, I found myself unable to answer with
certainty. Can human head lice be passed to cats, and in turn can
they pass them to other cats?

Actually from what I hear fleas do care a lot what their hosts are.
There are dog fleas, and cat fleas, and I know from what I have read cat
fleas prefer cats but if there are no cats around, a human will do.
I would think so. Like fleas and ticks, they don't care who or what their
host is
