Question:
Our grandchildren have severe head lice. They were visiting last week and
managed to give me one of the suckers. So my question is can our Angle get
their head lice? I couldn't locate any info on Netscape and really need to
know what treatment is necessary.
Answer:
If your Angle is not a human, than the lice cannot survive long on it.
Lice are species specific, so human head lice do not live long on other
animals.
My experiences are these:
head lice can go on pets (even if you hear the opposite) BUT they do not
reproduce on dog hair. We had head lice several years ago and it was
indeed on our pug as well, but only the live louse....no eggs. Generally
speaking they do not like animal fur, but you need to de-lice the animal
nonetheless.
A good flea shampoo usually says it kills lice as well. Do it and do it
right and then re-check!!!
