My daughter has head lice, which are going through her camp.
She has fairly long hair, and has been hugging the kitty. Does this
mean our Himmie has head lice too? If so, I'd never be able to go
through all his hair. What should we do?
Answer:
Human head lice lives successfully only on human heads
The lice, however, can migrate to and try to live on your
Himmie, but they won't live long. Even so, I think it's a
good idea to isolate your Himmie from your daughter until
her hair is cleaned up. It might also be a good idea to ask
your vet if giving your Himmie a flea bath is necessary and
useful to kill any Human head lice that strayed over to your
Himmie.
